When She Comes For You
Envy, Sabotage & the Sovereignty That Survives It
f you've ever been on the receiving end of a friendship that turned cold overnight, someone who mirrored you, got close fast, then turned strategic the moment they saw what you actually carry, I want you to know that it wasn't all in your head, and it was never actually about you.
The manufactured scarcity
We live inside a story that vital force energy is scarce. It isn't. Abundance is everywhere, wanting to move through all of us. But because we've been conditioned to believe otherwise, we've adapted to a contained game of illusion so thoroughly we've mistaken it for reality.
In the context of self-expression, this scarcity story shows up most painfully as women trying to humble other women.
What they're actually reacting to
It isn't confidence. It's power, which reads as confidence from the outside. As long as they believe it's performance. Something copyable. She isn't a threat. But the moment they see it's rooted, not performed, the ground shifts under a belief they built their whole identity on: that confidence has to be earned by proving, winning, being chosen over someone else. She becomes proof that framework was never true. That's harder to sit with than plain jealousy, so it often gets converted into something more manageable. Suspicion, moral judgment, a story about who she "really" is.
What's actually happening energetically
Underneath the mirroring and the manufactured closeness is an attempt to access someone's connection to her Divine Feminine. To take from it while diminishing her. Energetically, this is forced entry. And it doesn't go unanswered spiritually.
The backfire
Every attempt to diminish her only roots her deeper. The hurt is still real. Especially when it came from someone she trusted, and it deserves to be felt fully. But it's temporary, and it's not a verdict on her worth. If anything, it's confirmation that what she carries was real enough to be worth trying to take.
The practice
The Non-Absorption Check. When someone mirrors you or love-bombs you unusually fast, pause and ask: is this admiration, or appraisal? Admiration doesn't need anything from you. Appraisal is looking for an entry point.
The Honest Mirror. Has another woman's ease ever made something in you tighten? Answer honestly, without shame.
Returning What Isn't Yours. If you're carrying a heaviness after an interaction that didn't originate with you, say: this is not mine. I return it to where it came from. Leave my body now. I did not consent for you to be here.
You don't owe anyone a smaller version of yourself to make your presence easier for them to be around. That was never your responsibility to manage.
If this touched something you're still carrying, The Rooted Table meets every Sunday for this kind of work. Women learning to hold their own ground together, in real time. Join The Rooted Table
If what you're carrying goes deeper than a weekly gathering can hold, The Sacred Threshold is where we clear it at the root.
